Paul Sailor was the type of guy that everyone wanted to be friends with. I am glad that I had the privilege to become one of his friends. I used to work with Paul and we would have lots of fun. Paul is one of the many that has fallen in the line of duty for our country. This is a tribute for him and all others that have fought for freedom. God bless all of you. The fallen but not forgotten.

Thank you to all who have sacrificed so much!

The Privileged Child

I was a child who placed my hand on my heart, faced

the flag, and pledged my allegiance every day

I was a child who grew up in a "gated community"

I was a child who knew all adults as Sir or Mam

I was a child who didn't know the person whose

name was on my first piece of jewelry

I was a child that knew the importance of that

bracelet

I was a child whose father wore the same "outfit" to

work everyday and whose accessory was a pistol

I was a child that referred to a cafeteria as the "mess

hall"

I was a child that had tanks and helicopters at my 4th

of July picnic

I was a child that saw "parades" every day in my

community

I was a child whose parades included men and

women dressed alike marching to their own

"cadence"

I was a child whose father packed all he could in a

green Santa sack and went away on long business

trips

I was a child who wondered why the news made my

mother worried and sad

I was a child raised by my mother

I am an adult who can't remember when I was taught

the Pledge of Allegiance - only that I know it by heart

I am and adult who can buy a house in a "gated

community"

I am an adult who misses the respect of being

addressed as Sir or Mam

I am an adult who never met the person whose name

was on my first piece of jewelry

I am and adult who knows the importance of that

bracelet

I am an adult who has the freedom to "accessorize"

the way my father did - if I choose

I am an adult with fond memories of Thanksgiving at

the "mess hall"

I am an adult that yearns for a 4th of July celebration

like I once knew

I am an adult who can appreciate the beauty and

grace of those daily parades

I am an adult who understands the significance of the

marching and cadence

I am an adult whose father always came home from

his business trips

I am an adult who is saddened by the news of late

I am an adult who is proud to have had a "Privileged

Childhood"

I am an adult who appreciates my freedom and the

sacrifices my father made for me

I am an Army Brat!

For:  CSM Ret. Jack W. Macy

United States Army

and

CPO Ret. James W. Byrd

United States Navy

With all my love and appreciation,

Your daughter and sister!

Thank you so much for what you have sacrificed for all of us. Never lose your faith in God and know that weather times are good or bad he is always with you.

I am a grieving mother.  I lost my son
on dec.4,2004.  I would like America to know that my son died bravely and a hero to us all.  If he saved one mankind, no matter for what cause or race or nation, what is more noble than that? I miss and still cry for him but I will not dishonor his calling in life-
helping protect and defend the suppressed people of Iraq and I hope in my lifetime, gain and enjoy the beauty of freedom as we know it.

To my Dearest Son George and all our soaring angels. While your presence was here with us we watched over you and now that you have been released from all our worldly troubles, we ask you to watch over us and keep us close to you and protect us under your heavenly wings until the day when we can join you in that "Perfect Peace". God bless you all.

To all who have lost a loved one, I have also. Today marks one year after my cousins Kiowa Warrior crashed ( 16Oct04). We remember all of those soilders who died for our country because they are the ones who gave us our rights. We are in Iraq right now, and we are trying to help thoes who cant live safe right now in Iraq. People say things about our soilders and how they shouldnt be there. My cousin fought for what he belived in. He would always write back saying "these people over here love us. Well the ones who dont have the guns". He was happy to be there but greatly missed his family. My cousin leaves a wife and 2 little girls. His oldest (4 yrs old) came up to me and asked if daddy was coming home. What do you say to a little girl when they ask you that? Keep flying high William. Love your Family in Connecticut

Fortunately for me I haven't experienced the loss of a friend or family member in the war.  But everytime a soldier fall I cry because America is my home and every living soul here is a part of me.  I feel everytime a mom dies because I am one... Everytime a father dies because I couldn't imagine life without mine.  I want to thank all the soldiers for everything they do.  with out you I couldn't be me.  I send all my love and sympathy to those who have lost.  God is a mysterious man he picks the good roses and replants them to make beautiful rose bushes so everyone can enjoy them.  Everytime I see a rose I think of a fallen soldier and it takes my breathe away.  Such poise , such beauty.....  God Bless all

It fills my eyes with tears and my heart with pain that our soldiers would make the greatest sacrifice for me; for us. Yet at the same time it fills me with pride and encouragement to be the best that I can be. I am part of a grateful nation and I understand the sacrifice, though great it is. And I want to thank the families, loved ones, and dear friends of each and every Fallen Hero for their unselfish courage, steadfast perseverance, and noble sacrifice. May your stars shine brighter in the sky and God's blessing forever grace your lives. Thank you.

Everyone hears another solider killed, but not every one gets it.  I knew of the deathes and I felt very badly for the families but when it hit home, it hit home.  A reality check.  I lost my nephew age 21 who left a 9 month old son and a wife.  I know the pain that is felt when you hear the news.  I dont wish that on anyone and every day when we hear about another solider dying we relive the pain.  The pain will get easier but there is so much anger in our hearts.  We LOVE And Support every solider and their families.  We Wish the best to all of you.  I hope that you each can find peace in your hearts.  I send my prayers and thoughts with each and every one of you.  Lets resolve these issues and bring our men and women home where they belong.

On behalf of my brother I would like to give thanks to all who have supported my nephew since his death on Oct. 18th. My brother was Lucas A. Frantz's father, Gary Frantz. Although he grieves for his lost son, he has been comforted by the warm wishes everyone has sent to Lucas. Lucas had many survivors including his wife Kelly, his father and step-mom, two brothers,a grandmother, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. We just want to say thanks to all for all your thoughts and prayers. And thanks to all who attended Lucas's service. It was an amazing sight to see. We are so proud of Lucas and his service to the United States.
THANK YOU LUCAS
GOD BLESS YOU, WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

To the Family and Friends of 1st Sgt Tobias Meister we send our most sincere condolences.  Toby was a friend to all of us and an incredible representative of all he believed in.  God, Country, and Family were the triad of his beliefs and his dedication. A true Patriot, he was a proud example of the strength and courage we all aspire to in our lifetime, but seldom achieve.  May God grant you all strength to carry this burden of loss. We will carry him in our hearts and prayers for a lifetime.
