We are praying daily for an end to all of the violence of the war and against
man's inhumanity to man.
In the midst of all of this we do have this
hope, Jesus promises "Never will I leave you, Never will I forsake you (Heb.
13:5b)." If this is true there must be an awesome reward for those who pay the
ultimate sacrifice, something far better than any of us can ever hope or even
imagine. Stay the course...We shall overcome! Amen... Knight family, USA

I have lost many friends during my time in
Iraq and now my husband is over there waiting to return. This is my heart to all
the parents, silblings, spouses, children, family and friends who also gave up
someone for the cause. The flag that waves around us all is where their drive
and courage fly above us all so next time you see a flag being raised or taken
down, do as I and take a minute to salute the memory of not the fallen but those
who live in us forever and fly above us all.

Brenda Wilson Otterbein Indiana My Dear Son Cpl. Bryan S Wilson, You
gave the ultimate sacrifice on December 1, 2004 in Anbar Province Iraq. I miss
you more with each passing day. We buried you, not once, but twice when your
wife had your body exhumed this year and moved to a grave that was filled with
water. I am haunted daily by the sound of mud hitting water and the sight of it
splashing out as they covered your grave a second time. There were no soldiers
there, no flags of valor, no respect for your sacrifice. Your body was treated
dishonorably. I know that you are not there, you are at peace with God. This is
the only way I can survive this. I pray for peace in my families lives as we
try to get beyond this travisty. Semper Fi, till we meet again. Love, Mom

I have always cried when reading a news
story about another fallen hero. Each time having thoughts like "That was a real
person; someone's son, daughter, brother, sister, father, etc. I am thankful for
the sacrifice that each has made; but that thankfulness is mixed with such
sorrow. Now that my only son (my only child) has joined the Army, the total
reality of all of this has finally hit me in such a hard way. My heartfelt
condolences go out to each family member and loved one who has lost someone in
Iraq and Afganistan.

Thank you to all the many soldiers who fight
for our country everyday. It takes alot of bravery, love, and compassion to
defend a whole nation of strangers, whom you will never get to know. Also to the
soldiers who have lost their lives in this horrible war, I pray each and every
night for the families. That somehow peace and the love of God you shall pull
through and know your loved one will always be remembered. Maybe only by a few
people, but by many angels and the youth of our future, for their future lies in
this country's hand. Pray daily troops and families, Noone is promised
tommorow!!!

You have sacrificed your life so my life may
go on. You have passed, leaving me my precious Freedom. How do I thank you for
all that you've done. Your courage, and strength will never be
forgotten. Now, as you look sweetly down upon us, you can see clearly what
you left behind. A country very proud of you, and a family that loves you so.
You are a Hero in many eyes. You Dear Soldier are not gone, you are just
away. One day we will meet, and I will have the honor to thank you face to
face. For now, I continue to pray, for your loved ones and little ones, and
our Troops who fight so hard. May the Good Lord comfort them with all his Love,
his heart is a tender one, that heals the pain and hurt.
May God Bless
you and your loved ones.

Two years ago my life ended... no, I did
not die or get tragically injured. well sort of..The love of my life was taken
from me in a war that should have been long over. Eric Matthew Steffeney, was
Killed in Iraq, one minute you are living your life ready to do whats next and
then the rude awakening sets in... the what's next, will have to be done alone.
You no longer have a husband to discuss things over, so you continue...you have
no choice, what was mom and dad now becomes mom and more aggressive mom.and you
do it because somewhere up there someone needed my husband more than I did,
though I highly doubt that, all I see is that I need the man I fell desperately
in love with and my children need their father and no one, not even god needed
him that much. The money the military pays to keep the family going, is
basically a joke to say, yes it is our fault that your husband was killed, but
we're gonna give you a half a million dollars so you can just go buy a new
life, we get that your loving husband can't be in your life, but with that
kind of money, you should manage quite well. when you get lonely at night and
want to hold him just hold a handful of cash instead, though its cold hard cash
it still may keep you warm. I don't know how to love money the way I love
Eric, and won't try. I have memories and children and nothing more...
nothing fixes it and nothing makes it better, you just deal with what life gives
you because you still have children that need you so you are forced to stay here
and take care of them. I love them...and that is reason one and only that I do
stay I love you Honey, so much! Love, me
