To all of the young men and women who have given
ALL, let me say thank you and I am so sorry that you had to leave this earth so
soon. To your families, let me say that I know (unfortunately personally)
that it doesn't help to hear people say that your .... died a hero and is now a
guardian angel. I hope that our pain will lessen with each day. I hope that we
learn to grow more proud, and less saddened with the passing of every day. Our
loved ones are courageous. No matter how much we don't understand WHY and no
matter how much we want to see them, to touch them one more time, we can't. All
we can do is share with all we know, the wonderful memories and stories that
make our heroes so special to us. RIP on your fluffly pillow my dearest

I do not know where the courage to
serve and die for your country comes from-- mere mortals such as myself can only
remain awstruck and forever grateful to the men and women who dare to soar to
such heights. I am so grateful to all of you--and to the family members who
suffer these losses every day. I cannot even comprehend the sorrow a mother must
feel when she loses a son or daughter to this noblest of causes. Please know
that I love each and every one of you and I pray that God embraces and heals
you. Humbly yours, IO

My future son in law's brother was
killed this past December in Irag. His name was Clinton Tyler McCormick and he
was only 20 years old. His Brother, Daniel is having a very hard time moving
past this. We attended a Memorial Day event in Jacksonville yesterday to
present Tyler's name on our veterans memorial wall. It was a beautiful event.
Our memorial wall is the second largest of it's kind in the US, only second to
the wall in Washington. I only hope that other places will follow and create
such an amazing memorial for families to visit and feel close to the ones they
have lost.

One year ago today on June 15 2006, we
lost a precious member of our family, Jeremiah Santos. I lost my special

say "I love you nana". We will never let his memory fade away. He will
always be remembered and honored. With I heavy heart I pray the Lord will
bless and comfort his mom, Laurie and all of his relatives he has left
behind. Until we meet again Jeremiah. Love, nana
