My future son in law's brother was killed this past December in Irag.  His name was Clinton Tyler McCormick and he was only 20 years old.  His Brother, Daniel is having a very hard time moving past this.  We attended a Memorial Day event in Jacksonville yesterday to present Tyler's name on our veterans memorial wall.  It was a beautiful event.  Our memorial wall is the second largest of it's kind in the US, only second to the wall in Washington.  I only hope that other places will follow and create such an amazing memorial for families to visit and feel close to the ones they have lost.

If it was not for our soldiers my kids would not get to live in a free country like ours.  I read the papers and I see all the young men who are getting in trouble, then I think of the boys that our fighting. Joe Montgomery who was killed in the line of duty. I did not know him, but he gave his life for me, and that was the least I could do for him.. WHAT HAPPENEDED TO OUR OWN COUNTRY WHILE SPEND BILLION'S OF DOLLARS PROTECTING OTHER'S OVER SEAS. WE ARE ONLY HURTING FAMILIES IN OUR OWN COUNTRY. WE HAVE ENOUGH PROBLEMS AT HOME NEVER MIND THEIR PROBLEMS. I FEEL FOR EVERY FAMILY THAT HAS LOST SOMEONE TOO A SENSELESS WAR. THIS WAR IS NOT WORTH LOOSING OUR OWN SOLDIERS THAT ARE HERE TOO LOVE, RESPECT OUR OWN COUNTRY THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. WHAT HAPPENED TO WAKING THE SLEEPING GIANT. MY HEART GOES OUT TOO ALL THAT HAVE LOST SOMEONE IN THIS STUPID WAR. WE ALL HAVE ONE LOVE AND WHY LET THE GOVERMENT TAKR THAT AWAY FROM US. THE GOVERMENT SHOULD OF LEARNED FROM VEITNAM.

To all those family's that have lost a loved one, due to this war my thoughts and prayers go out to you....because i know how it feels, my cousin was killed out there, 18    years old just became a man, a life so short taken in the blink of an eye. I just hope that this war ends soon all these innocent lives just taken...its not fair at all...well i hope all is well and e-mail me so we can keep in touch, we all could use a shoulder to lean on and a friend to talk to in these hard times.

I am proud to be an American thanks to all the soldiers fallen and still serving.  Thank you for all that you have sacrificed.  Also to the brothers and sisters,  mothers and fathers, children and friends, these are the ones that truly suffer the most while the soldier is away.  There are no words that can express the gatitude that I have for all that you have suffered.  THANK YOU

To the men and women who serve our county:

I chose to do a creative project in honor of the soldiers that fight for our freedom.  I will present this wedsite and encorage others in my class to post their messages as well. 

In my project, I dedicated two poems to the fallen soldiers of 2007.  In addition, I included a list of the fallen soldiers of 2007.  I have famliy members that are fighting in the war.  The war on terrorism affects us all.
A special thank you to those who serve our country.  I appreciate you.  My prayers are with you.  I love and miss you Benji and Matt. Please stay safe.
