To the families of the fallen soldiers, Please know our hearts and thoughts remain with you always. Your fallen loved ones became heroes long before their lives were taken, they became heroes the day they vowed to protect our country and freedoms and we shall always remember them. To the soldiers who remain in battle, God speed, take care of one another and we will support you with whatever it takes here at home. We pray you all come home safe.

I am deeply sorry for the tremendous loss of your loved ones while protecting our great nation and each person within it.  My heart cries deeply with you in your loss.  With much respect, thoughts, prayers and a heavy heart I thank each one of them for the ultimate sacrifice of laying down their lives for us.  Such a commitment to our nation comes with courage, strength and a warm and caring heart.  May their strength, courage, love and lives continue living through all who love them and in those who have been touched by their lives.  May warm memories of the times shared with your lost loved one lighten the sorrow in your heart.  I am deeply sorry for the loss of our American Heroes.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not take away your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone, because we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your pain.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

To all those loved ones who have lost loved ones themselves, my heart goes out to you as I write this.  I am a wife of a retired military member and mother of a "new" one.  Tho I continue to be so very proud of my son and the direction in which he had chosen to "spread" his wings, nonetheless, you above all people know the element of pain that goes along with it.  The sacrifices in which we make in this world come with a mixed blessing of both joy and sorrow.
I still remember the overwhelming sorrow on the day my 18yr. old brother left for Vietnam, as well as the overwhelming joy upon his return from Germany after recovering from his injuries.  Little did I know that only a "portion" of him came back.  I have prayed for years to be given the opportunity to or at the very least be allowed to love him again, but the injuries go far beyond anything that the eyes may see.  My prayers go out to each and every one of you that have not only "lost" a loved one physically but also to those of you that have lost a loved one mentally and emotionally as well.  Thank you all for allowing me to share this "small" part of my "joy and sorrow" as I continue to walk my path in this life.
May the Lord bless you,
may the Lord be gracious
to you, may He shine down
His countenance upon you
and give you Peace....

Words cannot express the deep felt gratitude, nor the deep felt sorrow that I have in my heart for the supreme sacrifice which has been paid by so many in the war against terror.  My only comfort for you is to simpy remind you that the death of your loved ones was not in vain.  By their dedication and commitment the dream and reality of freedom continues to shine brightly in a world so need of true light.  Our Lord and Savior said it best, "No great love has any man than this, to be willing to die for his friend."  Your loved ones expressed supreme love for this nation and in turn always remember them and honor them with great love!

My sincere love and sympathy to all the families that have lost loved ones to this atrocity on our society.  There are no words or actions that ease the pain you are feeling. As a military mom, I cannot even imagine the pain and suffering you are going through.  Please know  there are thousands of Americans that think about and pray for you everyday.  Please try to take comfort in the knowledge that there are people out here that love and care about you and feel your pain.  God Bless you.

We live in the "Land of the Free"!  But since 09/11/01, I have felt like a prisoner of war in my home country.  I am thankful for those who fought and continue to fight this insane war for our country.  I am also sadden by the loss of so many great lives.  To the families and friends of those who were unjustly killed, I say thank you.  Your sons and daughters, husbands and wives, neices and nephews continue to fight the war in a very special and unique way.  I believe that they are all on a mission to bring peace to us all.  I pray that they are never forgotten.

To everyone who has lost a loved one in uniform, with humility I send my humble thanks for the sacrifice your loved did for me and all Americans.
I know there isn't too much anyone can say to help ease the lonely place in your hearts.
May I say that I am sure that your loved one is now enjoying a true peace with the Father in heaven. A peace that you and I will not know until we all meet again above.
Until that day comes, may Our Lord keep you in His Loving Hands and guide you and comfort you in a way only He can.

Our hearts go out to all who have lost loved ones, but rest assured that it was not without cause.  The price of freedom is sometimes so great that we are forced to give up someone we love.  Please know that no life is wasted for freedom. The indescribable hurt is the same whether the loss is in war or a car wreck. However the loss occurs, the void is the same. Each and every one of the military victims  of war who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms are HEROES FOREVER. I would like the families of these heroes to know I personally think each family whose loved one was killed due to terrorism should be compensated the same as the families of the towers. In fact, even more so, as they went out of love for our country and if not for the acts of terrorism would still be here with us also. I think our county has made a grave error in leaving out the families of those military victims who are just as much a victim of terrorism as the Sept. 11, victims. I apologize for my country for this cruel distinction..Our country spends more on cushioned office chairs than the families get in life insurance. It is time for life insurance to families to be increased don't you agree.

 Sue

I can't begin to understand how it feels to lose a loved one in any war ... let alone this war against terrorism which I never dreamed would happen to this great United States. I do know how it feels to lose a loved one ... however.  And so, I ask the Lord above to surround you with His love, with His peace, and comfort your tears away.  God bless you all.

Words cannot touch your loss. To say I'm
sorry will not make it less. Your loved
one knows how sad you are, and wishes you
could know that they are not sad, only over your pain of your loss. Remember the
happy times, and the Holiday laughter, that is what you need to do, to keep the
memories alive. This is what they would
want you to do.
I know. I have lost my young adult child.
We keep her alive by celebrating the fun we had with her during the holidays. It is so much better for all of us than crying and hurting. And, I know that makes her happier.
Our very best wishes to all of you and I
hope this holiday can be better.

Phila., PA
My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family members and friends who have lost a loved one while fighting for our country.  Hoping god gives you all the strength to carry on.  You are all in our prayers. Please just continue to pray for all of our other soldiers who are continuing to fight as well as your loved ones did.
