 Gloria Scott
Kansas City, Missouri
My deepest sympathy to all the families of our fallen heroes.
My heart goes out to those from Ft. Campbell, as I spend a great deal of time there visiting my daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law, who is stationed there.
I was there at FT. Campbell on 9/11. The cartoons were on..then we got a call to turn on the news.
We sat in horror and shock as we watched everything happen before our eyes.
I remember it was very hot and almost all the gates into the post were closed. The men and women had a long wait to get onto post to begin their duties but the good people of Oakgrove,Kentucky and Clarksville,Tenessee came out in force and set up tables along Ft. Campbell Blvd. to serve drinks and food to the soldiers. All the businesses along the way contributed. It was wonderful.
But, as I write this, my heart is still heavy with sadness because of the men and women who have given their lives willingly in service to our country.
Let us never forget..let us always hold them up and name them as the heroes that they are.
Again, my deepest sympathy to all the families...may God Bless you...may His Face shine upon you....With love, Gloria Scott

My condolenses to the family and friends of Sgt. 1st Class Daniel A. Romero.  I had the honor to work with his comrades of the 19th SFG and those of 710 EOD while in Afghanistan.  A group of fun, hard working troopers.  And the most patriotic crew.  God Bless and keep them!

There is nothing on earth that exceeds their sacrifice and I send my deepest and sincerest sympathy to all of you.

An independent campaign is underway to raise money for you (the families) who have been left behind. Though not going very well, someone has to do something and I'm proud to be a part of those who are. We'll keep after it, a little is better than nothing. I'm maintaining an updated list of our Fallen Hereos, thanks to Fox News and worst case senario is at least one Hero will receive what we genrated. Write me if you like. TWG, Box 892350, Temecula, CA

My heartfelt sympaties go out to all of the families who have lost loved ones. My son and brother are in the army and I have a nephew in the marines. Tims good friend from boot camp was killed in Iraq and one of my military mom friends from militraymoms.net lost her son just last week. I can't begin to know how they are feeling right now. But my heart goes out to all of them. I will pray for all of you and hold you close in my heart.

Gavin was a HERO, I've been reading all the information in the news articles that his fellow soldiers have said.  What a great son.  I am PROUD of him.  My own son is in the 325th also.  We have lost a great person but Heaven has gained a wonderful Angel.
I'm so sorry for you heartache.

Dear Gavin Neighbor
How much your Military Mothers will miss you, our brave soldier.  Watch over your family and know we have loved you very much.  You made us proud.  Protect your brothers of the 82nd Airborne who are still fighting and who honor you memory. You were only 20 years old but made a greater impact than those who have lived 100 years.
God Bless You Gavin, You are now soaring with the eagles.

PFC Corey Small,
The day I heard the news my heart dropped, and I felt sadness like never before.

It is still hard to belive, and I regret so much not being there with you.  I know we talked a few times about when you get home, and me getting "that damn butter bar".

I only wish you were still here to serve with.  The army has lost a damn good soldier.  Your sister and family all miss you so much.

Jaden is a good boy, I will make sure he and Amanda are taken care of by the Army and get full benefits.

Look down from heaven on us all, and know that Mandi, Jessi, Laura, Jake and I all lost a brother that we loved so much.  We will never forget you.

Kevin

"The Cousins"

The bar was loud and full of fun
The news was on TV
No one seemed to listen
No one seemed to care
Another soldier fallen
Another good life lost
No one seems to listen
No one seems to care

Then a young woman enters
Walks up to the bar
She orders up two drinks
One for him and her

"This one's for my cousin Kirk and this one is for me"
He promised he would be here
When he got his leave
But he died a hero
Now there's only me

Soon the bar got quiet
Listening to her words
This is what she told them
Quickly finishing her drink

I couldn't understand the reason
Why he had to go
My mind was full of questions
My heart was full of fear
His words were reassuring
As he said to me
"Mandy, take heart, keep faith in us, we will not let you down
For we have a job to do,it's time we earn our pay."

He left a goodbye letter
To his friends and family
He told us not to mourn him
He died for his beliefs
His cause was something greater
Greater than one's self

He now guards the Gates of Heaven
Wearing his dress blues

The one request he made of us
Was to remember him
And for who and why he served
He did not want us to forget

With those words she raised his glass
Then looked around the room
"You'll never be forgotten, my cousin and my friend"
Though death has parted us for now
We will meet again
The reason why you gave your life
Everyone will know

For freedom and security
You died for one and all
So here's to you and all who serve
She paused and simply added.
Semper Fi

When she turned and walked away
Her words still stayed with them
Now they finally understood

It took a fallen soldier
To make them realize
The price for fun and freedom
That we all enjoy

Now they seemed to listen
Now they seemed to care
It took a fallen soldier for them to realize.....

In loving memory of my nephew

I found this website one day and today when I viewed the greetings, I cried.  I could not stop.  I am retired from the U.S. Air Force.  I was in South Korea and Kuwait but never felt that I was in much danger.  I know there are people in the world who go about their everyday lives and think nothing of the freedom we have in America.  This website is very touching.  I pray for everyone who has lost a loved one.  It must be very difficult.  Freedom is not free. May God bless each one of you.

To Everyone all over the world even if you have or do not have members in the military Showing your support to our troops everywhere is our way of remembering the fallen. For that is what they believed in and that is what our troops are fighting for. So we the people of the WORLD can express our thoughts and Live the lifes we have. To the family of Lt. Osbaldo Orozco I would like to extend my deepest condolences. I met Lt. Orozco through my husband, Sgt. Feliciano Cruz, he had great admiration and respect for him. My 4 year old daughter, Anabelle, who also met him a few times, was also very fond of him. He once gave her a small stuffed, multi colored cow which she named "Fruity". Since the tragedy she has placed Fruity on a shelf and plans to keep it as her remider of him. He was an amazing human being and I only wish I would of had more time to get to know him a little better. He will be greatly missed and he will remain in my prayers from here on out. I will never forget him, he will forever hold a dear place in my heart..........

I would like to thank the men and women who fight for our freedom.  I am so thankful and proud to be an American.  I appreciate our servicemen who fight to keep our country a wonderful place to live.  Before 9-11, I think alot of people took our freedom for granted.  I think it is so sad that it takes a tragedy like that to bring us together.  I hope that as Americans we will continue to stand up with pride and honor our country and flag.  God bless the men and women who serve our country and the families of those who have lost loved ones.

We also have a son deployed into Iraq and extend our heartfelt condolences to those loved ones that have suffered the ultimate sacrifice.  We pray for a quick and honorable peace so that our service men and women can return to families that love and cherish them more than can be imagined.  Maintain the memory of fallen heroes within your heart and they will always be there with you.  God Bless Them All!

My heart and soul go out to all who have lost loved ones in the military.  We all know they are fighting for something they believe in or they wouldn\'t be there fighting in the first place.  At least we all know that they went on to the great beyond while standing up for you, their family and friends.  God is with you and them.  God Bless us each and everyone.

My heart goes out to every military family who has made the ultimate sacrifice and lost a brother, husband, father and a friend. Just know that you are not alone and amid the chaos of this world they made their sacrifice to honor you, their family. My husband is currently in theater and I worry for his safe return everyday.

To the family members of Troopers of the 3rd ACR.  As a former Trooper of the 3rd ACR I am sorry for your loss.  Your sons have paid the ultimate price for our freedom and I am eternally thankful.  I am proud of how our regiment has performed in battle.  Our country has been made a safer place by our solders sacrifice.  "Brave Rifles"

It is so wonderful to know that men love and respect the land they live on that they would fight and die for it.  It is wonderful that they love their citizen that they don't even know so much that they risk their lives everyday for freedom from terrorist...THANK YOU...and ps..Matthew Redden from Gideon..I'm still in love with you...no matter what.

This message is for all who have lost a loved one or friend in service for their country, but most of all in memory of a good friend of ours, David Loyd. Our hearts go out to you, Pam and Lyman and David, Jr. in your recent loss. David Loyd was a great husband, father, friend, and soldier. He died in Iraq on August 5th and died doing what he loved -serving his country. He was a member of the National Guard and served in Desert Storm as well as Operation Iraqi Freedom. For those who knew and loved him, David's memory will live on for the great human being he was. You will be missed, David!!!

I will always remember Todd Caldwell as a childhood friend with a quick smile and humor and readiness to have fun whatever we were doing. I respect and honor his service to our country and pray for his soul as he soars to his heavenly home. He was well loved.

We send our sympathy to all that have lost a loved one in Iraq.
We especially would like to send our thoughts and prayers to the family of PFC Timmy R. Brown Jr. of the 519th Military Intelligence Batallion.  Our local scouts and school kids sent poems, letters and  pictures fo that Batallion, and he was kind enough to send us pictures back. Pictures of himself included. I have them.

To his Battalion still in Iraq~Stay Safe. Timmy will forever be in your hearts and ours.

He was
a friend, that did not hesitate to help, whenever we needed it.  He is more than just a friend, he was like a brother.  A heart of gold, a smile that would make you feel like, everything is going to be alright, a laughter, that was contagion.  The "Aloha" that you showed us. will never be forgotten.  Our hearts are heavy with sorrow.  I promise you, we will never forget you.
Our warmest, Love & Aloha,
Sarah & Ohana
