In memory of SSgt. Kevin C. Kimmerly, killed in Baghdad on Sept. 15, 2003.  My thoughts and prayers are with Kevin's family.

 Christopher & Rita Polizzi
To my friend, Mike Williams who was killed this past weekend.  He died a hero and a martyr for his country as well as for the freedom of the Iraqi people.  My sympathy to his wife Caroline and to his family.

 The Courtney Family
Dresden, TN
There are no words to describe the pain and loss that the families of these fallen soldiers face.  Army Spec. Thomas A. Foley III of Dresden, TN is our beloved soldier who was taken from us so tragically way too soon.  As a fellow mourner, I pray that the Lord will bless and keep each member of each family that is feeling the loss of a loved one.  Hold their memories tight, but find a way within yourselves to accept the loss, even though you will undoubtedly feel it for the rest of your life.  "Tommy" was very special to us.  Though he is gone, his spirit remains a part of each of the people he left behind.  As long as he continues to live within our hearts and memories he will continue to remain a part of us.  May God be with you all in this undiscribable time.

The family of
Army Spec. Thomas A. Foley III

With all my heart I want to thank the parents of the fallen men.  I wish we could see you each face to face.  Saying I am sorry just is not enough. I will keep you in my prayers and my thoughts are with you. My grandson was over there but, by Gods grace he returned. I dont know your pain . I will be thinking of you.

At the rising of the sun and at its going down At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of Winter. At the opening of buds and in the rebirth of Spring At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of Summer At the rustling of leaves and the beauty of Autumn At the beginning of the year and when it ends, long as we live, they too will live;for they are now a part of us, as
When we are weary and in need of strength,When we are lost and sick at heart,When we have joys we yearn to share,When we have decisions that are difficult to make,When we have achievements that are based on theirs,
As long as we live, they too shall live,
for they are a part of us, as WE REMEMBER THEM.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest sympathy to the families of our fallen soldiers.  I am the wife of an Army Infantry Soldier.  My family was very fortunate in that my husband just returned from Korea so he has not been to Iraq or Afghanistan.  I pray that day does not come.  Too many lives are being lost.  Too many children are going to have to grow up without their daddys and mommies.  I understand President Bush thought this war was America's only option, but as the days go by I start to disagree more and more.  I pray for the soldiers and I pray for their families.  God bless them and God bless America.

To those who have lost loved ones in this war I am sorry. I know what you are going through. I lost a brother in the gulf war and one in this war as well. My son's father is over there and I haven't heard from him in 4 months. The pain will ease, but will never go away. The only thing now you can do is to stand and hold your head up proudly. I have served our country for 3 years. I don't agree with this war, but I am proud of those who are over there fighting. It takes alot. Your child, husband, or wife didn't die in vain. They are heros. Not just yours, but everybodys. Every person within the 50 states and our allies.  I wish yall the best and gods speed.  Take Care!

I  just wanted to say how proud I am of my country, and how proud I am of the soldiers who are defending its honor and freedom. There is a lot in this life that we take for granted and the number one thing is freedom. I am praying for the families of the fallen soldiers who do not get to come but they are soaring again right now in heaven, and they are in our hearts and minds forever.God Bless America.

Our freedon isn't free, but because of these brave men and women of our Country they have given their lives and dedication to serve this wonderful Country we live in. There are not enough words to express the appreciation for the soldiers who have battled in this time of war. Thank You so much that my children will be able to grow up in a country that is free! Special thanks to my little sister Stephanie  who serves this country and her Fiance, Enrico for their dedication.

Like many, I am sorry to hear about the lost of SGM Wilson.  Although I only worked with him briefly, he was one of the relatively few people I have ever met who exemplified solid integrity, knowledge, authority and honor. His sacrifice will not go unrewarded.  We will prevail in this battle.

I just wanted to to express my sympathy to all of the families that will be missing loved ones this holiday season. From 9/11 until now..Operation Iraqi Freedom. I will be mourning the loss of a soldier as well, my brother, SPC. Justin Hebert. He was killed August 1st, 2003. Thanksgiving was awfully hard for me and I just hope for it to get better. I hope that you have plenty of support around you during this difficult time as well. It will be tough to get through but with love and guidance we shall oversee this and continue on throughout our days. This War has had the biggest impact on me and I will never ever forget anyone who was apart of this operation. They will forever be in my hearts as well as yours.
I can only hope and pray for the best and show support for those who are still fighting over there. I'll always offer my support even though my lil bro isn't over there anymore.
I pray that all of your son's, daughters, husbands, wives, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends will return home safely just so that you can sleep better at night.
Until that happens may they be protected by the goodness of the world....they are doing a very unselfish thing over there, they deserve to come home to their families. = )

Love, Jessica Hebert

I am so sorry for your loss. I really do appreciate everything that your loved ones have done for this country.  No freedom isn't free but your loved ones have made it pssible for us to still have our freedom and rights.  I truly do and respect anyone who has lost a loved one in the military, for the reason that we are still free and without them we would not be.  So thank you very much.

To my husband who was killed as a result of the chinook helicopter crash. You will always be my one and only love.  Life will never be the same for any of us.  It is all we can do to go on day by day.  You are always in our minds and hearts.  You have touched so many lives and left a huge hole in all our hearts. We cry everyday wanting you back with us.  We will be strong and continue with life, but remember because of the man you were in life, you have made us better people in this great loss. Always remember you were my rock and all I wanted and needed in life.

Forever your wife.

In Loving Memory of PFC David M. Kirchhoff

I would like to dedicate this song to my husband who pastaway August 14th due to a heat stroke he sufferd in iraq while he was serving his country.

          NOT A DAY GOES BY
             "LoneStar"

Got a picture of you I carry in my heart
Close my eyes to see it when the world gets dark
Got a memory of you I carry in my soul
I wrap it close around me when the nights get cold
If you asked me how i'm doing id say just fine
But the truth is baby, if you could read my mind

Not a day goes by that i dont think of you
After all this time you'r still with me it's true
Somehow you remain locked so deep inside
Baby, baby, oh baby, not a day goes by

I still wait by the phone in the middle of the night
Thinkin' you might call me if your dreams don't turn out right
And it still amazes me that I lie here in the dark
Wishin' you were next to me, with your head against my heart
ne
But the truth is baby, if you could read my mind

Not a day goes by that i don't think of you
After all this time you'r still with me it's true
Somehow you remain locked so deep inside
Baby, baby, oh baby, not a day goes by

Minutes turn to hours, and the hours to dYS
seems its been forever that i've felt this way

NOT A DAY GOES BY THAT I DONT THINK OF YOU
AFTER ALL THIS TIME YOU'R STILL WITH ME IT'S TRUE
SOMEHOW YOU REMAIN LOCKED SO DEEP INSIDE
BABY, BABY, OH BABY, NOT A DAY GOES BY...

Everytime i hear this song it makes me think of you and how much I miss you and I wish you were here.. I LOVE YOU! and always will...

                    Love your wife,

This is to all the familys out there that has lost a dear family member due to the war.. god will take care of them and you will see them again soon, god bless and take care....from some one who cares in nc.

GOD BLESS THE SOLDIERS AND THERE FAMILIES. BECAUSE IT IS THEY WHO MAKE ME PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!!!

In the utmost respect I sit here reflectiing on events as they've unfolded in the War in Iraq and the extended war on terrorism. Yesterday Saddam Hussein was captured alive by US soldiers in a small hole in the ground and as of today its unclear what will happen to him.Its a tough call and the world will all have a voice I suppose.I sit here remembering his violence and destuction he brought against his people
and I cant help but think about his obcession for being the next Ruler of the middle east or a reflection of the ancient ruler of Babylon that challenged Gods authority in the Tower of Babel. I believe Gods will is always applied even at times when he seems so distant he is right there on the front lines guiding those whose task it is to carry out his will and fight and defeat evil and Hes also there to take the fallen home with him. To the families of our brave soldiers everywhere I thank you and I pray for you all. And to You Soldiers in Theatre and those preparing and those of you that have sacrificed yourself for our Freedom I thank you from the bottom of my heart and wish you Gods Blessings in all that you have been asked to do on our behalf and the worlds.

Thank you once again and god bless you all.

As I'm writing this it's Christmas Eve morning, 2003. My thoughts are with my loved ones that I miss so very much. My thoughts are also with our troops, our Veterans, and most of all our "Fallen Soldiers" and thier families and friends. I have learned over the years to never wish a day away, to never take anyone for granted, to always be grateful for the blessings I receive. These are the very same things that I feel about those that have given the ultimate sacrifice, they have given thier lives for all of us and for those in the countries they spent thier last moment in this life protecting. I am deeply grateful, I deeply respect, and I deeply honor those that are gone, and those that are still giving their all to our country. These thoughts bring to me the truest meanings of Christmas, and most of all to love one another and pray for peace on this earth. My heart goes out to all of you that have lost a loved one serving our country, and to those that are anxious
ly awaiting thier loved ones to return home. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in deepest sorrow.
Love & Peace,
Rose

I'm writing this email for two reasons- the first to thank my fellow comrades for fighting for our freedom as well as the innocent Iraqi people. You have given up your life to save another. And the second reason is to Darius Jennings. My heart is full of pain and sorrow after finding out you were killed. I regret not taking the opportunity that you gave me to get to know you. I remember thinking- I'll see him when he gets back. You were a beautiful person on the inside as well as on the outside. My heart is truly broken and I only wish that I would gotten to know you. My heart and prayers are with you eternally. You will always be in my heart!

To All the selfless "HEROES" who paid the ultimate sacrifice by giving up their lives so I can be free today to enjoy this x-mas with my loved ones.
To all the Soldiers who gave me this freedom today.  May you rest in peace, knowing that you did not die in vain for you have given this nation the freedom that it has now and you have given the Iraqi children a play ground to play on, and you have given the Afghanistan children music to sing to now.  You will be forever in my heart and I will forever be grateful to you.  May God Bless you and watches over you.
Love from the bottom of my heart. Leafa.

I served with the 70th in Iraq and know that the loss of Private Jonathan Falaniko is felt by all.  He was a good soldier and is a great American.  I intend to plant a rose bush in his memory when I return home, to remind me that freedom isn't free.  My condolences to the family, may God watch over you.

SSG Cameron B. Sarno - better known as "Boodee" to his family and friends, died September 1, 2003 in Kuwait. I can't begin to explain how much he is missed by everyone, especially myself. Boodee had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up a room. He lived each and everyday to it's fullest. Life seems so incomplete now. But, he has left us with a life time of memories that will be treasured always. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him and loved him. I love you "Boodee" and you will "Forever be in my Heart."

In memory of SSG Francisco Martinez.  A son, brother, and paratrooper of the 82d Airborne.  An outstanding 28 year old Puerto Rican who had a heart of gold and a smile of true friendship.  A true brother to all that wear the uniform, willing to give his all for his comrades in arms.  Which he proved to the fullest on November 4, 2003 in Iraq.

SSG Martinez was killed by an improvised explosive device.  SSG Martinez sustained multiple life threatening injuries but tried numerous times to get himself up off of the ground.  With both legs severed and massive shrapnel wounds to his right shoulder and neck region SSG Martinez asked repeatedly Let me up.This is the fighting spirit that he had in him

that all of the men and women that have worn the uniform in the years before he and I ever met at Fort Bragg have had.  It is the same fighting spirit and dedication of the men and women that continue to wear the uniform have to continue the mission.

Not to mention our family members, the wives, the sons and daughters, mothers and fathers.  The brothers and sisters that support their soldier.  Those that hang the ribbons and wave the flags and wait, looking out the window, hoping that their loved one will come down the road.  Hoping that the letters keep coming from wherever they are.  Never wanting to see the soldier in a dress uniform saying the words I regret to inform you

I have heard people say thats what they signed up for.  It is only because of other men and women that wore the uniform and made the same sacrifice as my friend and the hundreds of thousands of others before him are they free enough to say something like that.  I only wish that I could have the freedom to remove their teeth with one of my boots without getting a court-martial.

Never let the opportunity to tell someone that you love them pass you by, you may never get another chance.  Remember our veterans.  Fallen yes, but not forgotten.  But do not overlook those veterans that have not fallen.  The roll that they played in our history is magnificent.  Please take the time to tell a veteran thank you for what he did.

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here Am I; send me.  Isaiah 6:8

May the Lord watch over these heros.

The ones that lost their lives will now rest in peace for I know that that they are looking upon their Country that they had to suddenly leave without warning. but as the evil was conquered they were rejoicing & now they are at peace. I wish that each of you could of been here for the rejoicing of this country on the day they captured the Evil SADDAM. It was indeed a time to thank the Troops & the Lord.May each of you rest in peace & May the Lord take your families & wrap his loving arms around them. Remember you are HEREOS in our eyes.

to all families and friends of our fallen heroes. I write this with a heavy heart, to know so many we have lost, I know they died for you and me, I love them all with the heart of a mom.

Although I have never met them in person, I see them walking tall, holding thier heads so high, yes your son and daughters of the great freedom in the sky. they stand aside for no one this day, because they gave thier life for us to pray, God in heaven you have them now, give them the best for they deserve the supreme, but then oh Lord you already know this, so let them see the blessings we send, until I walk the streets of heaven and meet you all God Bless you and love, I loved you all

Although these words of comfort will never replace your loved one's, May you know peace in your heart. That they gave their all for their Country and they did that by choice. Not because they were obligated to do so but because they were brave enough to fight for our freedoms.
They gave the "Ultament Sacrifice" for the Country they loved. God Bless you and your families until you are reunited with your loved ones.  Amen

I am the older sister of a Fallen Soldier (my HERO), SPC Irving Medina.  Irving was killed in Baghdad on November 14, 2003, the pain is still very fresh and I don't think that it will ever go away.  I want to take the time to remind all Americans that our troops are fighting for our Freedom.  Please do not let us forget that Freedom isn't Free, many lives have been lost for us to be able to have that priviledge.  My heart goes out to all the families and friends of fallen heroes like my brother.  I know that someday I will see my brother again but until then he will live in my heart forever.
Irv,
I think of you everyday
I think of all the childhood memories
I thank GOD for giving me 22 woderful years with you
I will never forget our last conversation on November 10, 2003
You took the time to call and wish me a Happy B-day
You made me feel so special
I miss you very much!!
I wrote to you in my last letter that you were my Hero but you never got to read it
So I am telling you now:  You are my Hero little brother.
Thank you for bringing smiles to us for 22 years, You are miss dearly.
I love you!

My heart is filled with sadness and yet at the same time with pride.  I am very sorry for all of your losses.  I know only one thing that we need to trust the Lord with all of our heart and not lean on our own understanding....to know that God has a plan and though we can't see the entire picture the way He can, that His grace is sufficient.  My heart breaks each time that  I turn on the news and see another one of our men and women and those of the coalition force have fallen and I wish with all that I am that I could do something to ease the pain of losing a loved one.  You are in my prayers and I pray for peace and comfort for you all.
Sincerely
Karen Burns
