There are no words to describe the pain and loss that the families of these fallen soldiers face.  Army Spec. Thomas A. Foley III of Dresden, TN is our beloved soldier who was taken from us so tragically way too soon.  As a fellow mourner, I pray that the Lord will bless and keep each member of each family that is feeling the loss of a loved one.  Hold their memories tight, but find a way within yourselves to accept the loss, even though you will undoubtedly feel it for the rest of your life.  "Tommy" was very special to us.  Though he is gone, his spirit remains a part of each of the people he left behind.  As long as he continues to live within our hearts and memories he will continue to remain a part of us.  May God be with you all in this undiscribable time.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest sympathy to the families of our fallen soldiers.  I am the wife of an Army Infantry Soldier.  My family was very fortunate in that my husband just returned from Korea so he has not been to Iraq or Afghanistan.  I pray that day does not come.  Too many lives are being lost.  Too many children are going to have to grow up without their daddys and mommies.  I understand President Bush thought this war was America's only option, but as the days go by I start to disagree more and more.  I pray for the soldiers and I pray for their families.  God bless them and God bless America.

To those who have lost loved ones in this war I am sorry. I know what you are going through. I lost a brother in the gulf war and one in this war as well. My son's father is over there and I haven't heard from him in 4 months. The pain will ease, but will never go away. The only thing now you can do is to stand and hold your head up proudly. I have served our country for 3 years. I don't agree with this war, but I am proud of those who are over there fighting. It takes alot. Your child, husband, or wife didn't die in vain. I just wanted to to express my sympathy to all of the families that will be missing loved ones this holiday season. From 9/11 until now..Operation Iraqi Freedom. I will be mourning the loss of a soldier as well, my brother, SPC. Justin Hebert. He was killed August 1st, 2003. Thanksgiving was awfully hard for me and I just hope for it to get better. I hope that you have plenty of support around you during this difficult time as well. It will be tough to get through but with love and guidance we shall oversee this and continue on throughout our days. This War has had the biggest impact on me and I will never ever forget anyone who was apart of this operation. They will forever be in my hearts as well as yours.
I can only hope and pray for the best and show support for those who are still fighting over there. I'll always offer my support even though my lil bro isn't over there anymore.
I pray that all of your son's, daughters, husbands, wives, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends will return home safely just so that you can sleep better at night.
Until that happens may they be protected by the goodness of the world....they are doing a very unselfish thing over there, they deserve to come home to their families. = )

In the utmost respect I sit here reflectiing on events as they've unfolded in the War in Iraq and the extended war on terrorism. Yesterday Saddam Hussein was captured alive by US soldiers in a small hole in the ground and as of today its unclear what will happen to him.Its a tough call and the world will all have a voice I suppose.I sit here remembering his violence and destuction he brought against his people
and I cant help but think about his obcession for being the next Ruler of the middle east or a reflection of the ancient ruler of Babylon that challenged Gods authority in the Tower of Babel. I believe Gods will is always applied even at times when he seems so distant he is right there on the front lines guiding those whose task it is to carry out his will and fight and defeat evil and Hes also there to take the fallen home with him. To the families of our brave soldiers everywhere I thank you and I pray for you all. And to You Soldiers in Theatre and those preparing and those of you that have sacrificed yourself for our Freedom I thank you from the bottom of my heart and wish you Gods Blessings in all that you have been asked to do on our behalf and the worlds.

This is a message to honor my father-in-law CSM Jerry Wilson, killed 23 November 2003.  My heart goes out to all family members and friends of soldiers in Mosul and other places.  Continue to pray for our soldiers to come home safe.

WHEN WE SEE THE HUNDREDS OF LIVES LOST OVER IN IRAQ WE THINK OF OUR FOREFATHERS WHO DEFENDED THE LAND IN THE FIRST PLACE. THESE MEN AND WOMAN WILL BE BLESSES TO KNOW THEY GOT CALLED HOME TO BE WITH THE LORD IN HIS RESTING PLACE CAUSE THEY STOOD UP FOR WHAT THEY BELIEVE. In memory of SSG Francisco Martinez.  A son, brother, and paratrooper of the 82d Airborne.  An outstanding 28 year old Puerto Rican who had a heart of gold and a smile of true friendship.  A true brother to all that wear the uniform, willing to give his all for his comrades in arms.  Which he proved to the fullest on November 4, 2003 in Iraq. 

SSG Martinez was killed by an improvised explosive device.  SSG Martinez sustained multiple life threatening injuries but tried numerous times to get himself up off of the ground.  With both legs severed and massive shrapnel wounds to his right shoulder and neck region SSG Martinez asked repeatedly Let me up.This is the fighting spirit that he had in him

that all of the men and women that have worn the uniform in the years before he and I ever met at Fort Bragg have had.  It is the same fighting spirit and dedication of the men and women that continue to wear the uniform have to continue the mission.

Not to mention our family members, the wives, the sons and daughters, mothers and fathers.  The brothers and sisters that support their soldier.  Those that hang the ribbons and wave the flags and wait, looking out the window, hoping that their loved one will come down the road.  Hoping that the letters keep coming from wherever they are.  Never wanting to see the soldier in a dress uniform saying the words I regret to inform you

I have heard people say thats what they signed up for.  It is only because of other men and women that wore the uniform and made the same sacrifice as my friend and the hundreds of thousands of others before him are they free enough to say something like that.  I only wish that I could have the freedom to remove their teeth with one of my boots without getting a court-martial.

Never let the opportunity to tell someone that you love them pass you by, you may never get another chance.  Remember our veterans.  Fallen yes, but not forgotten.  But do not overlook those veterans that have not fallen.  The roll that they played in our history is magnificent.  Please take the time to tell a veteran thank you for what he did.

The ones that lost their lives will now rest in peace for I know that that they are looking upon their Country that they had to suddenly leave without warning. but as the evil was conquered they were rejoicing & now they are at peace. I wish that each of you could of been here for the rejoicing of this country on the day they captured the Evil SADDAM. It was indeed a time to thank the Troops & the Lord.May each of you rest in peace & May the Lord take your families & wrap his loving arms around them. Remember you are HEREOS in our eyes.

I am the older sister of a Fallen Soldier (my HERO), SPC Irving Medina.  Irving was killed in Baghdad on November 14, 2003, the pain is still very fresh and I don't think that it will ever go away.  I want to take the time to remind all Americans that our troops are fighting for our Freedom.  Please do not let us forget that Freedom isn't Free, many lives have been lost for us to be able to have that priviledge.  My heart goes out to all the families and friends of fallen heroes like my brother.  I know that someday I will see my brother again but until then he will live in my heart forever.

My heart is filled with sadness and yet at the same time with pride.  I am very sorry for all of your losses.  I know only one thing that we need to trust the Lord with all of our heart and not lean on our own understanding....to know that God has a plan and though we can't see the entire picture the way He can, that His grace is sufficient.  My heart breaks each time that  I turn on the news and see another one of our men and women and those of the coalition force have fallen and I wish with all that I am that I could do something to ease the pain of losing a loved one.  You are in my prayers and I pray for peace and comfort for you all.
