Your loved ones died doing a great thing. Hold your heads up high and be proud, for your loved ones fought for the greatest gift of all, freedom. I am really touched by this web site I am so strong but looking your home page actually brought tears to my eyes. My husband served in Iraqi Freedom and will be going back in June.  I prayed for him every day while he was gone. I dont know what I'll do if he is ever taken. Dear American Families,

It is with the greatest sadness and respect that I pen this short message to you.  You are all in the prayers of our church and my family today. Even though I have never met you, we have a common bond. Those we love are serving in the cause of freedom in Iraq today. I know that you have already suffered an immeasureable loss. I pray that God's Holy Spirit will comfort you today and give you healing and grace.

My son and others are still there... still at risk. They are risking all so that people of another country can have freedom for their children and grandchildren. Please know the the sacrifices are not in vain. This effort does have meaning and purpose. If a new democratic government can live in Iraq, it can live anywhere in the Middle East.
That is little consolation for those who have lost sons, daughters, children and mates.

Just remember that there are thousands upon thousands of people all over the world who are praying for you this night.

I can't believe it has been just over a year.  I am able to put one foot in front of the other as I go forward each day because God wakes me.  On April 2nd I went to your grave with flowers, as I stood there I knew not what to say, "Happy death day?", what does a mother say to her first born son as she stands at his grave? This is the last place I left you and yet you are not there to talk to me.  I miss you so much at times I can't breath.  Being Easter today I am so thankful for the Resurection, knowing that you to live on.  I see you still taking care of us, yet I can't hold you.  You are so missed.  I love you baby, and I am so honored God let me be the vessel to bring you here, now you are back with him, flying him in his black hawk helicopter.  I will see you in the horizian my son, Sgt. Chris is survived by my sister, Cheryl (25) and there 14 month old daughter, Cierra. Chris was scheduled to come home on March 21 for a 2 week leave. He was looking forward to seeing his daughter walk for the first time. He had not saw her since she was 6 months. Cierra will never know her daddy but she will know what a hero he was. First off, I just want to thank all of the men and women serving in our armed forces, especially the ones that gave their life, ensuring our freedom.  As as Army wife, I know the chances that our soldiers take on a daily basics.  I just wanted to let all of the families know that I am so sorry for their lose of a loved one, but know that they died fighting for their country.  I lost a friend on Feburary 11th,2004 and it has maded me realize that it can hit close to home.  There isn't much that I can say besides just know that now "they are serving with wings."  "Another soldier reporting sir, I've done my time in hell."  That is a quote that I heard thought I would share it. The one thing I don't know is how not to cry, how not to get teary eyed when I watch tv or read the newspsper.
Ever since coming home from Iraq myself, I get so emotional. I can't face the news to hear of a fellow American dying. I can't face hearing of anymore executions. I can't watch tv without an interruption. I just pray that one day this will all stop. Freedom isn't free, but happiness is. We shouldn't have to die in order to keep others alive. Those who do are brave. American soldiers, sailors, air force and marines are the brave ones. We chose this occupation. We knew there was a chance. this is to my cousin michael a. mcglothin who died april 17, 2004. i will miss you and i think of you everyday. i wish we could have seen more of each other, it is the one thing i regret everyday. you died for us and that the world will never forget!! i love and miss you.

Bobby, The kids and I sure do miss you. The 210th is coming home tomorrow and you won't be with them. It's going to be hard to see all the men that you left come home and you won't be with them. We really wanted to go and welcome them home, but the kids could not bring their self to do it. I never thought that we would go through something this hard, you said that nothing would happen to you but it did. We need you home. Jacob just turn 16 and your little girl Holly 12. They needed you so much. I know that this is what you wanted to do and i now understand why you had to. We are very proud of you Bobby. We love and miss you and I will do my best to raise our kids the right way. Oh how Jacob misses you not being here for his baseball games, and Holly, she just talks about how much she like her daddy. Bobby we will never forget you and how brave you were to go to Bagdad. We will go on with our life as you would wanted but it sure has been hard. Thank you for everyth
