I served in the Army and got out, but while I was in I served in Kuwait. To all those who read this and who have lost families, words can not describe how proud I am of you all. Your loved ones died doing a great thing. Hold your heads up high and be proud, for your loved ones fought for the greatest gift of all, freedom. I think of you and the price you paid, and I thank you. I will not forget, and my family will not forget what you and your loved ones has done.

I am really touched by this web site I am so strong but looking your home page actually brought tears to my eyes. My husband served in Iraqi Freedom and will be going back in June.  I prayed for him every day while he was gone. I dont know what I'll do if he is ever taken. But I know that God watches over him and the others that are trying to bring freedom and peace to our world. God bless them and protect.RIP to the fallen Hero's

 Pastor E H (Buster) Gilliam
Clarksville, Tennessee

Dear American Families,

It is with the greatest sadness and respect that I pen this short message to you.  You are all in the prayers of our church and my family today. Even though I have never met you, we have a common bond. Those we love are serving in the cause of freedom in Iraq today. I know that you have already suffered an immeasureable loss. I pray that God's Holy Spirit will comfort you today and give you healing and grace.

My son and others are still there... still at risk. They are risking all so that people of another country can have freedom for their children and grandchildren. Please know the the sacrifices are not in vain. This effort does have meaning and purpose. If a new democratic government can live in Iraq, it can live anywhere in the Middle East.
That is little consolation for those who have lost sons, daughters, children and mates.

Just remember that there are thousands upon thousands of people all over the world who are praying for you this night.
Respectfully,

Pastor Buster Gilliam

To the family of Staff Sgt. Anthony Lagman.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to everyone in your family. I am a Filipino and I know how close our family can be. It is very painful to lose someone so good and dear. Be proud of him. He is a hero. He unselfishly gave his life to his country and took care of his family unselfishly. He is one of a kind.

May his good soul rest in peace, and may God be with your family during this difficult time.

Having a daughter in the Armed Services (National Guard M.P.) I am always fearful that she will be called overseas.  She will proudly serve and I will proudly defend her.  My heart breaks to think of all the young lives lost and wounded but I will forever be grateful for the freedom.  My condolences to all who have lost someone
but, remain strong and true and God Speed to all.

I can't believe it has been just over a year.  I am able to put one foot in front of the other as I go forward each day because God wakes me.  On April 2nd I went to your grave with flowers, as I stood there I knew not what to say, "Happy death day?", what does a mother say to her first born son as she stands at his grave? This is the last place I left you and yet you are not there to talk to me.  I miss you so much at times I can't breath.  Being Easter today I am so thankful for the Resurection, knowing that you to live on.  I see you still taking care of us, yet I can't hold you.  You are so missed.  I love you baby, and I am so honored God let me be the vessel to bring you here, now you are back with him, flying him in his black hawk helicopter.  I will see you in the horizian my son, Sgt. Michael F. Pedersen!

I am the sister-in-law of Army Spec Christopher Hll (26)Our entire lives changed on March 11,2004. It's a feeling I will never forget.
I would like to send my condolences to the families who have lost loved ones. There are nothing anyone can say to make it better or go away but reading sites like these does make it easier to cope. Chris is survived by my sister, Cheryl (25) and there 14 month old daughter, Cierra. Chris was scheduled to come home on March 21 for a 2 week leave. He was looking forward to seeing his daughter walk for the first time. He had not saw her since she was 6 months. Cierra will never know her daddy but she will know what a hero he was. You may visit Cierra's website at www.cierrahill.com She is a spitting image of her dad and through her we will always have a piece of him. God bless these families that have loved ones overseas and those of us who have lost our loved ones.

First off, I just want to thank all of the men and women serving in our armed forces, especially the ones that gave their life, ensuring our freedom.  As as Army wife, I know the chances that our soldiers take on a daily basics.  I just wanted to let all of the families know that I am so sorry for their lose of a loved one, but know that they died fighting for their country.  I lost a friend on Feburary 11th,2004 and it has maded me realize that it can hit close to home.  There isn't much that I can say besides just know that now "they are serving with wings."  "Another soldier reporting sir, I've done my time in hell."  That is a quote that I heard thought I would share it. May god be with all of you!!!
Pfc. Ramirez, I will never forget you!

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to those family members who have lost and to those who have family that serve.  In this day, hate does not discriminate nor does evil.  But love conqueres all things and shall empower us for days to come.  I sat on this side of the field and my heart aches to understand the meaning of it all.  If this is only a myriad of my outcry to say that God has the final say then let my pain roar like a raging river.  God Bless us all and remember my friends when they come knocking at your door.

 Michelle

May you be comforted in your grief at this time by God and knowing that I came across this site by accident and had to tell you how much your Loved one protected our Country and me from the enemy. He or She has joined the many who gave their life for freedom and are in a special place in Heaven with all the others who fought to save our USA from the Revoluntionary War to present.
Being an Army Brat I know what the sacrifice was to see my late Dad be away from the family to fight in WWII and the Korean War.
Your Loved one is always with you, even now. God Bless your Son,Daughter, Father,or if the soldier was a Mother. You must be very proud of your soldier.
God Bless You and Comfort you at this time. Thank your loved one for me for defending this country I love so dearly and sacrificing his life for freedom.
I hope your grief eases with each day that passes and through the years.

Michelle

To all the Armed forces men and women, families and friends...
It is hard to say goodbye, I know.
It is hard to cry, I know.
It is hard to go to a world so unknown, I know.
It is hard to fight for freedom, I know.
It is hard to face the reality of a war, I know.

The one thing I don't know is how not to cry, how not to get teary eyed when I watch tv or read the newspsper.
Ever since coming home from Iraq myself, I get so emotional. I can't face the news to hear of a fellow American dying. I can't face hearing of anymore executions. I can't watch tv without an interruption. I just pray that one day this will all stop. Freedom isn't free, but happiness is. We shouldn't have to die in order to keep others alive. Those who do are brave. American soldiers, sailors, air force and marines are the brave ones. We chose this occupation. We knew there was a chance. May God Bless Everyone and Pray for a Safe Return Home.

Daniel was not only my cousin but my bestfriend.. His memory will always be with us. I know how much pain my family and I are in and nothing will ever make it better. I wish everyone out there that has either a soldier in action or that has passed, to know that my prayers are with you and I wish you all the best of luck.

To those who gave their life and the families left behind.

I humbly submit my condolences.  My thoughts and prayers are always with you.  I know that for those who have moved on, you feel as if you were doing your job, but each day as I go to work I never expect to pay the price of life.  You faced that challenge every day and did so bravely. Having never known you, I salute you.  I congradulate the mother's and father's who raised such wonderful, caring, giving individuals.  The Bible says, there is no greater love than a man lay down his life for his brother.  Each man and woman who laid down their lives have presented the ultimate sacrifice.  The heavens are well pleased.

God Bless All of You.

I want you to know how much your sacrifice means to me and my family.  Your loved ones are our heroes, the men and women we should look up to and strive to be like.  I love my country and I love those who serve my country for without them, past and present, we would not know the freedom we have today.

A thank you is not enough, there are no words that could ever say just how much your loved one's service means.  May God comfort you and give you strenghth in your time of sorrow.  My heart goes out to each and everyone of you and I am forever indebted to you and your family.  Thank you.

God Bless

Bobby, The kids and I sure do miss you. The 210th is coming home tomorrow and you won't be with them. It's going to be hard to see all the men that you left come home and you won't be with them. We really wanted to go and welcome them home, but the kids could not bring their self to do it. I never thought that we would go through something this hard, you said that nothing would happen to you but it did. We need you home. Jacob just turn 16 and your little girl Holly 12. They needed you so much. I know that this is what you wanted to do and i now understand why you had to. We are very proud of you Bobby. We love and miss you and I will do my best to raise our kids the right way. Oh how Jacob misses you not being here for his baseball games, and Holly, she just talks about how much she like her daddy. Bobby we will never forget you and how brave you were to go to Bagdad. We will go on with our life as you would wanted but it sure has been hard. Thank you for everyth
ing that you have done for us and being the husband and father that you have been. We love you
