Son, you trained your troopers well, t3hey are all coming home. Never did I want to get that phone call, even thou I knew it could happen.  It has been tough, all the hopes and dreams are gone..all but the memories and your picture. I believe God has a special place for warriors and you have a seat with all the other Fallen Warriors.

SSG CAMERON BRYAN SARNO - BOODEE to those who knew him and loved him would of celebrated his 44th birthday today July 18, 2004 - instead his family and close friends will be celebrating the wonderful life he had. You see Boodee was a casualty of Operation Iraqi Freedom - on September 1, 2003 he was killed in Kuwait. He gave the ultimate sacrifice - his life. He was a very special man and he is missed (especially by myself) tremendously by all who knew him. There is not a day, an hour or a minute that goes by that he is not in my thoughts. He gave us so many precious memories and for that we thank him and celebrate his life. Deeply sadden that he is not here to celebrate with us, but HONORED to have known him and LOVED him. I LOVE YOU BOODEE and MISS YOU SO VERY MUCH - just me - t. sarno

I want to thank all of my brothers and sisters at arms that have paid the greatest price for freedom. My heart goes out to the family members of the lost loved ones. You are also heroes for supporting your soldier all the way.

I always looked at it like this while I served before I retired. I wanted to give the children a chance at freedom and I would have given my life for that if I had to. Your loved ones gave their lives so they are the true definition of freedom.

Like many before them that have given their life in Vietnam, WW2, WW1, Korea, and many other conflicts, they are the true heroes of freedom and I love each and everyone of them. God Bless Them and God Bless you that you may have an understanding that you will see them again in Heaven.

They are wearing wings of angels and are now watching over us . So rest in Peace...

SGT RET. Robert Webb

I am the sister of Marine Cpl. Ronald Raymond Payne Jr. who was killed in action May 7th, 2004 in Afghanistan. He took the bullets in order to save a wounded marine. He was the only marine to die from hostile fire in Afghanistan since the war had started. The wounds are still very fresh and I miss him more and more everyday. I only pray that this will all end soon so no more families will have to get that dreaded knock at the door, the news that their loved one has been killed. I know that he is in heaven, I just miss him so much. Semper Fi my sweet sweet brother

Hi there my name is Amanda. I am in 14 and am still confused of why where in war but I understand now as we lose more soilders everyday. If it weren't for the men and women fighting for our country there would be an even bigger war going on. For a 14 year old kid who is just about to go in Highschool i'm starting to understand more about why in war. To all those who have lost loved one I feel your pain. I may not have lost a loved one but I feel your pain. for those who have loved ones out there fighting right now may they come home safly.

Today is a sad day for all of us in Hattiesburg, young Joshua Bunch of Hattiesburg Mississippi had only been serving in Iraq with the bomb squad for 2 months and he was killed yesterday. Our family and friends found out today when we opened the door to see the faces of two saddened men before us to bear us with the horrible news that we had lost Joshua. Please keep his family in your prayers as we are and please God watch over us all and protect our young men and women as they fight for our freedom. Rest in Peace Josh!! We love you!!

This is for my Brother-in-law who give his life in Iraq. We miss him so much. He is always on my mind. Not a day goes by that I dont think of him. I will miss him always.

Dan Boling

Indiana/ corn country

I lost my little brother last year, July 8th, from an apparent heart attack while serving in Iraq. His name was Craig, he left behind a wife and four children, a mother and step-father, brothers and sisters, and we all know it continues. It has been over a year now, and I still canít seem to get over this/ and or believe that he is gone.

As a Veteran myself, I never thought I would have to say goodbye this way. But, thatís who he was, and the type of person he was. We lost our father 2 months before, and the Army let him come home for the services and be with his family. Even though he had only 90 days to go to retire when they deployed him, he went anyways, and returned after our fathers funeral.

I would love to say to all the families out there, that had lost a loved one during this time, I AM SORRY for your loss, and that I wish I could help explain and to help ease the pain. I can't, But PLEASE do me one favor, and that is to NEVER forget. I must go now, I need to go and visit with my brother where he now rests. May God be with us all, and you are all in my prayers.

Dan

To the Family and Friends of Staff Sgt. Donald Davis of Saginaw, MI:
I have a KIA bracelet I wear that bears the name of the young man who died in Viet Nam the day I was born.  Someday, when my grandson, Phoenix, is old enough, I am hoping he will wear a bracelet, too, bearing the name of Donald Davis.  As your son gave his life in Iraq, my grandson came into this world.  It is my hope that he is raised so that his life honors your son's sacrifice and all the lives lost in this terrible war.

To all who have lost someone dear to them - my prayers are with you - as I too have lost someone very dear to me. SSG Cameron B. Sarno (Boodee) was killed September 1, 2003 in Kuwait. It's been a year and it's still very hard not having him here with us. I miss him very much - but there's one thing that makes each day easier to handle and that is to hold on to all the precious memories he's left me with.It doesn't make missing him any easier but it does let me remember how very special he was to me and how very Proud I am of him. Boodee "I Love You Very Much and You Will Forever Be In My Heart"...

I would like to reach out to the families of all the fallen soldiers who have given their lives for us to be free here in America. I would also like to recognize my husband Pfc. Jeffery Taylor who survived an accident on April 4, 2003. My children and I feel very blessed to have him home with us. Jeff lost 3 really wonderful people who were in the vehicle with him that day that God decided he needed a little earlier than he.  I would like to take time to remember them and their families and tell them that not a day goes by that we take for granted, we realize Jeff was spared for some great reason and I know he will make the rest of  the guys proud. God Bless our Troops!!!!!! Till' they all come home...........Please don't let these guys die in vain.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all the families of fallen soldiers.  As the mother of an army soldier who has served in Iraq, I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child.  Mr. and Mrs. Mora, my son went through basic training and AIT with your son, Michael, and they were stationed together at Fort Polk.  I want to tell you that I had never met Michael, but Justin, my son, told me they were friends.  I want to thank you for raising a brave, young man, willing to serve his country.  For Justin and Michael to grow up several states away from each other, I have to believe your son made a positive impression on my son, since he considered him a friend.  This war has affected so many people and my heart goes out to you.  I think of your family often, even though we never met and please know that my prayers are with you.

I just want to say to all that has lost, that my prayers are with you. This war as well as others is very emotional. My grandfather served in Veitnam and that war didn't take him, he took himself. I want everyone to know that I hurt and greive for each of you! I am very thankful for all who has served and is currently serving to help me and my kids stay safe!

I don't think there are words to describe how I feel. Me, my wife, and my children are so full of awe at those who willingly gave their all so that we might live in a free society, able to express ourselves freely, worship god, vote, and all the other freedoms we all enjoy. Even those that are anti- American and live in America enjoy those freedoms. May God, who is over all, reward you greatly in heaven.

To my beloved Mike (mIIIIIke! - as my family called him),
He was a beautiful person who will certainly not be forgotten and holds a very special place in my heart; he will forever live in my memory. He was the greatest best friend who had the biggest heart and a beautiful soul. I can find no words that will describe the pain I feel right now for his loss because a part of me has died with him. I looked forward to every second we had together and cherished every phone call I got from him while he was in Iraq. He always was so positive and so cheerful which made me feel at ease while he was away fighting for our freedom, but the good lord has decided he needed him more than we did. I truly believe he is still watching over all of us and is a guardian angel to me, his family, and his friends. Mike I love you. Rest in peace.

This goes to the Torery J. Dantzler family.

We have lost a great person in our community.  Torey was a wonderful young man and he will always be in our hearts and thoughts.  We loved him just like our very own.  Torey would always make his way to come by our house or office when he would be in on his breaks from the service and at home with his family and friends.  I just thank the Lord that we got to play a small role in his life and that we were blessed to be able to know such a fine young man, that he was.

We love you and your family.

Fellow Americans,
I thank the Good Lord that my son has served his tour in Iraq, and come home.  He is changed, but is alive and well, and is back at work.  He is a Reservist--ready and willing to serve when and where needed, but always glad to be back in the States.
Freedom is hard; it calls for a certain behavior, responsibility, and desire to be a part of something bigger than self.
I voted the other day.  I am so proud that I can vote for my leaders.  God, help us choose good ones, and help each of us be more appreciative of what we have here.  I love America.

SSG Cameron Sarno-BOODEE, gave his life, when he was killed in Kuwait, one year ago.  This isn't fair!  Because it still hurts.  I will never forget that day.  when we heard about him.  We will be celebrating his one year annivesary Sat. Sept 25th. at Makaha Surfing beach, a place where we spread his ashes, and one of his favorite place to surf.  Boodee, friday night, we talked about you, how we love you, and miss you.  Saturday we're coming to see you and try to imagine you surfing on that wave, you, with that smile on your face and getting off on that perfect wave.  OH! how beautiful you look!!  Your my friend, my brother, my family. you will always be in our heart.

 In loving Memory To:
             Joshua Justice Henry
who served in the Army of 1/7 FA BIG RED1

He was a kind and caring brother who would do anything for his family and friends- he would give someone who needed a shirt his shirt right off of his back and he always knew how to make someone laugh. He was our angel sent from above and I Love You Big Bro. Times are hard right now trying to understand the "nonunderstandable" , and  I know you are here with me like you have been all along I love you and I miss you.

In times like these we need to hold on to all of the wonderful memories of our troops.  They will forever live on in our hearts.  A special prayer to all of the mothers that have lost a child. I feel your pain because I have lost a child, Spc. Anthony J Dixon.  It feels as if a piece of your heart is missing. We stand strong because God gives us the courage and strength to move forward. "We can do all things through Christ which strengthens us." Philippians 4;13

Dear Families,
I pray for your loss and most for you and your family. I know that your loved one is now with our Lord. You can rest now, his/her hand is in our Lords hand. If you looked very high in the sky you can vision them walking with our Lord. I have so much faith in God. I have not lost a loved one, but I can feel your pain and I to cry when I hear of another fallen soldier. Why do we have to live in such a world of hate. Like mother Theresa said pray for love and peace in the world. I will always continue to pray for you and your families. May you find peace in your heart and remember he does love us. We are his children to, he will also come for us one day and when he does we need to be ready. Find peace with yourselves and love one another as God has loved us. I know we will see the kingdom of God one day. I will see you there my friend.
Your loving sister,
Helen

My cousin PFC Bradley G Kritzer was killed on May 5th fighting in the war.  He had just turned 19 in january.  There are so many emotions that my whole family is dealing with.  The devastion, hurt, anger, overwhelming sadness, and equally overwhelming pride.  I miss Brad so much.  Every week my entire family would get together and make goodie boxes to send to him.  Since we lost brad, we've adopted his unit.  So now we send to 87 boys.  It really helps us all with the healing process.  We still feel usefull.  We are doing what we call "Project Santa"  We are going to overwhelm this unit with christmas presents.  People from all over have donated for this project.  The response is truely heart warming.  For all of the family members who have lost a loved one.  I know your pain, and I share that burden with you.  I pray for you and your families.  And as for all of our troops.....I send my prayers, my love, my respect and you are in my heart and my thoughts every da
y.  I can't ever thank you all for what you do for us.
With all of my love,
Becca

There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you. You would be so proud of your two sons. I see your handsome face every time I look at them. They talk about you all the time, and ask about you. They always want to know after they have done something if daddy would have done it that way. We all miss you and love baby. I know you are with me every day. We will be in our heart and mind always. Until we me

My sincere sympathy is with you and yours. My future son in law is in Iraq now and very few days have gone by since March 2004 that I have not cried and been in prayer so many times a day and night for all of our troops.  Thank you for what your loved one stood and fought for.  They are now in the Army of God and surely they are soaring with angle's wings. God Bless you and your family now and always.
