We all know freedom is not free.  We take for granted simple pleasures everyday of things that could be taken away from us so easily.  For a person to give up there life so I can have the simplest things is the greatest thing that any human could do.  Scott did this for me and I could not ask for a better person to call a hero.  In Memory of CW2 Scott A. Saboe, November 15, 2003

I lost my brother, Spc. Jeffrey S. Henthorn, on the 8th of February 2005.  He was stationed in Ft. Riley, Kansas in 2003 when he took his military career from weekends with The Army National Guard (that he loved!!!) to being a full-time U.S. Army Soldier. He leaves us with 2 loving boys.  Chance, 6 and Brenden,4.  The hard part is getting up everyday knowing that he's never coming home and going to bed everynight knowing that he's never coming home.

This message is for all the parents, wives, sisters, nieces, nephews, brothers, sons, daughters, and friends of fallen soldiers.  May God, in all His glory, shine His everlasting light and love into your hearts.  May you find strength and comfort in the knowledge that our world, our children's world, is a better place because of brave soldiers.  The loss of your loved ones touch all our lives.  I live in Faye3tteville, NC (right beside Fort Bragg).  I was born and raised here and I am very proud of our troops.  I hear the planes fly in and out of Pope Air Force Base and say a prayer each time. May God bless and keep you!

Taylor Bradley Praznyski
May 9, 2005

Taylor and I worked together.  I remember the joy he brought to all of the co-workers.  He always had a smile on his face and was a bright young man, who was looking foward to a wonderful future.  He came into work one last time before leaving for Iraq.  My last words to him were "be careful and come home safe".  Taylor died May 9, 2005, while serving for the Marines.  He died doing what he loved...helping others.  My memories of you will be cherished forever.  My prayers go out to your family and friends all around the world.  Thank you so much for the sacrifice you gave to our country.  Miss you!

WILLARDS, MD.
ON April 22nd,2005 my world fell apart.
That's the day the knock came to my door. The night before, my youngest son PFC Robert Allen Guy was killed in Iraq.
So, to every person and especially every parent who has lost a loved one, my heart aches for you. I will keep you in my thoughts. I am truly  sorry for your loss. I know your great saddness and pain. If I could, I would hug you close and we could cry together.I would not tell you "It's okay", because it isn't. I would only say "I understand", and believe me, I do!

I thank all the service men and women whom have served and are seving our country. Those that have been lost are in my thoughts every day...as are their families. My husband, was safely brought back to me in April 2005 from serving a year in Afghanistan, but the sadness that comes with war, seeing too many of our hero's and wonderful friends losing their lives for our future, touches my life. I thank you all, and pray for all the families enduring the pain and sorrow. God bless you all, and may God give you the peace and assurance that you need. Our prayers are with you all and this country.

Keep your heads held high for our soldiers still fighting and never forget the ones we have lost.

Since the start of the war, I have been emotional every time I hear of another fallen soldier. Yesterday, I received a phone call from my mom that a young man that I grew up with had lost his life in Irag. My heart sank and immediatly went out to his mom and sister. I feel so helpless and angry at the same time. I'm very frustrated with our government because it feels as though our fallen soldiers are losing their lives, not for America's freedom, but for the freedom of the Iragi people. Enough is enough! To the families who have lost a loved one...May God bless you and some how find a way to give you peace in your heart.

God Bless all those who serve in the name of Peace and Freedom.  May God hold those lost safe at home until we all gather in His Light once again.  In memory of the 37 Port Authority Police Officers, my brothers and sister, who perished in service to others and America on 9/11 in the World Trade Center, our Headquarters.  We will prevail as a Nation over the evil that clouds our world today.  We will never relent in our fight for justice and to keep this Nation Free for All who choose to embrace its gifts and to those who come here to destroy us you will not prevail...we American Citizens will no go quietly into the night...we will fight to the very last breath within our souls and no one...no religion...no hatred...no desire to destroy the goodness and generosity that flows from this Nation to any and all in need...nothing will deter us from our goal.  The killing of innocent civilians around the world by the faceless cowards who call themselves the Jihad shall meet their desired fate before their God of Justice...No just Divine Entity be it Christian or Muslim would ever condone killing another innocent human being in their Holy Name...God Bless America...its fighting men and woman...and those who serve the front lines at home...our police, firefighters and our neighbors next door...together we are invincible.  Amen.

It seems like such a waste of a 19 year old boys life, but thank you Charles for having the courage to go and fight for my freedom. I remember when you were a little boy, running around the neighborhood, shoveling my front sidewalk at 6 am, and just being a great kid. Your life was cut too short, but your memory will live long.

Our fallen heroes have given the most sacred gift of all for their country and that is their precious lives. They each and every one loved their country and their fellow men young and old and believed in what they were doing and most of all believed in their country. I give them all praise and know that God Almighty is watching over those still serving their country. For those He has called home to be with Him they are now Guardian Angels of all still serving in the military service everywhere. May God put a protection of safety over everyone and May God Bless each and everyone everywhere, those still serving and those God has already called home to be with Him. Love, Norma Jean

For every soldier who has given their life, I cannot tell how grateful I am.  My husband is in the Army and I pray for all soldiers and their safety each and every chance I get.  May God bless them and keep them close to him now.

I want to say "Thank You" to all the soldiers who are fighting for freedom.  Because of you I am safe today.  I do not know anyone who is serving  in the military at this time so I have no one personally to thank.  If I ever meet you on my path I will stop to give you a hug and let you know I do appreciate your sacrifices.

To All Those Who Have Lost A Loved One:
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayes everyday. I cannot imagine your heartache, and I know there is nothing anyone can say or do to take that pain away. However, please know that your loved ones were special people of honor and nobility. I for one am grateful to them and admire you for your perservance. May your hearts heal, your memories be strong and the knowledge that you are cared for by friends and strangers alike, sustain you. God Bless you.

Our hearts and prayers go out to all the families.  There are no words to convey the depth of the gratitude we have for all those who fight to keep America the home of the free, and we thank the brave for keeping us safe.  To the families who had to give "all", know your loved ones are safe in God's Hands and are looking out for all of you! God bless you one and all.

In memory of the loss of:

SPC Rafael "TJ" Carrillo
1-64 AR 3rd ID
Fort Stewart, GA/Bagdad, Iraq

As I look over websites and lists of our fallen heros, I just keep thinking that these lists are far too long.  Lists of young men and women who are giving the altimate sacrifice for the freedoms we all hold so dear.  TJ was a good friend of my brother who aslo was on the vehicle when enemy fire took a great man from his family and friends and injured two others.  My brother was one of the injured and TJ was taken from us.  Although I felt relief to find out our soldier was going to be okay, I couldn't help but feel a great sorrow for the family of TJ and all of his brothers in Iraq.  TJ was fun and outgoing individual who could always make people laugh.  Although I only saw him a few times while visiting my brother at Ft. Stewart, I know he is a great loss to many.  He and my brother were pretty good friends and spent a lot of time together.  I would talk to my brother online and see TJ in the back ground on the web cam.  My thoughts and prayers go out to TJ's family.  I'm t
ruly sorry for your great loss.  TJ is a true hero and his sacrifice is the greatest any man can give.  I know that he is smiling down on us from heaven and watching over his fellow brothers and for that I am thankful.  To TJ's family: God be with you in your time of sorrow and always. To our brave young heros:  God Bless You!  May you have a safe tour and return to your families soon.  To my Hero PFC Daniel Newberry: I miss you more than I have ever missed anyone.  My brother, my best friend. I pray every night and count the days until your return.  I Love You!

We lost a hero on July 10, 2005.  His name was Joseph P. Goodrich, from Pittsburgh, PA.  He was my best friends husband, and I have many memories to carry me through.  He was such a great person, my husband and I choose him to be our daughters godfather.  We miss him so much, and will always remember him.  He believed in what he was doing and would not leave his men behind.  It was a great honor to be his friend.

I know many guys that have served in Iraq.  One of the saddest moments of my life is when I greeted my friends that came back, just to learn that they had lost four friends in Iraq.  So to those four and to all of the ones killed, know that you are heros in all ways.  You have changed the lifes of so many and we are grateful for you.  Prayers go out to all of those friends, family members and comrades who have been left standing without the ones standing next to them.  God Bless you all.
